This beloved big baddie really should not be missing here :)

And yes, it is not exactly a cheap retro gaming experience but you might be surprised how may of those old gems are actually (kinda) affordable. It is up to this day still my favorite console and lots of fond memories are attached to it :)

Can’t say much about the switch versions because I do not own a switch :)

To me… well I have to admit there is loads of nostalgia @ work here. I just love the original hardware, its design and the whole appear of it. Honestly its been the first (and yet only) product I’ve ever encountered that was not only much more expensive as its competition but -indeed- much better too. SNK was just about good games and they delivered. They loved what they did and it showed (and still shows). And that’s what I find still fascinating with that console :)

Neo Geo was always too expensive for my taste for a system that mainly has fighting games, which is a genre I do not hate but I’m not crazy about either.

There are a various type of game on neogeo, but not as much as the snes of course, since it was originally arcade game

but Magician Lord is a plateform game such Spinmaster

there are some shmups , sport games, the first personal shoot game view ever with The Super Spy
