YouTube is gonna start age-restricting a bunch of more videos. Age-restriction means no monetization and no viewership from anyone that isn’t signed in and age 18 and up.

This is just another example of YouTube steamrolling over creators’ balls, which is what they’ve been doing for years

They want to track who is watching what.

They are taking the model from the CCP, and having people sign in to be on-line.

This is just u-tube taking us one step closer to that.

This is all about the election. Political channels have been seeing growth on YouTube recently, especially conservative ones. And YouTube doesn’t want that, so they’re trying to limit videos like that

    Wait one moment!

I thought the media and social platforms are “SUPPOSED” to be neutral.

OH!  This is the 21st century.  Of course they are BIASED!  How silly of me to think otherwise.

They don’t want right-leaning messages to reach young minds.

Well it’s already too late. Gen Z is more conservative than they think

You can thank all these morons going on and on and on about pedophilia like deranged lunatics.  They are going to use this excuse to clamp down on comments.

In fact, you have SEEN this before back in April of 2018.  Remember when all the escorts sites disappeared due to “sex trafficking”?  What no one talks about is all the YouTube “conspiracy” videos that were taken down that week too.  Like I said, I work in the legal field and I write books.  I have software that saves links and notes for me.  This way I can document everything for legal briefs and books.  Right after they did that “sex trafficking” legislation a good 40% of my links to sources went dead.

In this case that you are talking about, they are going to use the age restriction thing again.  They are going to say it makes things “safer”.  In reality, what they are going to do is clamp down on conservative viewpoints.

One of the main takeaways from the election in 2016 was that YouTube helped elect Trump.  I am surprised they waited this long to implement it.  I think frankly they are going to do it limit any fallout from the debates and the Supreme Court hearings that are going to implode once Trump submits his list.

My comment disappeared.  It says I was the last to comment, but it is now gone.  Weird.  Anyhow, what I said is you can think the deranged lunatics going on and on about pedophilia for this move.  They are going to use the age restriction nonsense to clamp down on videos and use that as justification.  What will really happen though is that conservative videos are about to go away.  My guess is that this is all because of two things.  1)  The election in November and 2) The Supreme Court nonsense that is about to happen.

I work in the legal field and my brother also does analysis for major organizations.  One of the major takeaways from 2016 was that YouTube helped get Trump elected.  This move is an effort to negate that effect.

Also, this is nothing new.  You have seen it before in April of 2018.  Remember all the escort sites that went away due to “sex trafficking” legislation?  If you don’t, a major bill was passed to stop “sex trafficking”.  In reality, what happened was anything labeled “conspiracy” or “harmful” was taken down.  Like I said, I work in the legal field and I write books.  I have specialized notetaking software I use to track sources.  I kid you not — the day after that legislation passed 40% of my linked sources vanish.  None of which had anything to do with escorts.  For example, I was looking into the validity of Sandy Hook since I lived near there.  I had links to all the police 911 tapes from that day.  Those links all went dead.  Not a damn thing to do with sex trafficking but I guess the powers didn’t want that information out there.  My guess is because one 9/11 operator can be heard in the background saying it was a drill.

Make no mistake about this move.  It is ALL about politics.
