    Good morning Geeks and Gamers,

My wife and I regularly played games together on the Wii. The games we usually played were the Wii sports games and Wii Party. There may have been other games but I can’t remember for sure.

Now that I have a Nintendo Switch, I have been eager to find games that we can play together but I’m coming up empty.

I rented Super Mario Party through GameFly, but we hated it due to the fact that the game took forever to get through. I ended up mailing it back the same day.

My wife is very particular about the games she plays, she’s not really big on platformers, shooters, etc. The games she and I play could beat be described as casual games.

That said, any suggestions on games we can try? I thought Mario Party would be a sure thing but I was wrong.

Maybe this is for you, there is a free demo on the e-shop with 4 games to try out before you buy

If you’re into music games, this is really fun to play.

Overcooked 2 is really fun too

and of course there’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons as well

See if you can get a second-hand copy of 1-2-Switch cheap. It’s actually quite good and a lot of fun as a party game, but definitely something that should have been bundled in with every Switch, rather than something you have to pay full game price for.

I’ve heard good things about Death Squared as a party puzzle game, and for currently 90% off in most regions’ eShops, you can probably pick it up using just the Gold Points rewarded from buying other games.

Both Crypt of the NecroDancer and the Switch exclusive Cadence of Hyrule crossover have 2-player local coop. Crypt of the NecroDancer gets huge discounts (80% off) pretty frequently, Cadence of Hyrule not so much.

Also, I’d recommend checking out and bookmarking Deku Deals. It’s a great way to find games that are on discount as well as price history.
