    Non-Contact Hockey or no hockey

Ontario government official Lisa MacLeod said Wednesday that the OHL must take a series of steps to limit the spread of COVID-19 in order to return, including eliminating physical contact among players.

    WTF! ? !

MacLeod mentioned the government and league are “in constant contact” as they try to find a solution.

Oh the irony!  Players can’t have contact as part of the game, but the government can gave CONTACT with the league!

The league announced it will not comment on the ongoing negotiations.

That is like saying the NFL cannot have physical contact of its players would turn the league into the Nation flag-Football League.

Bodychecking prohibited in OHL this season

The Ontario Hockey League will not have bodychecking during its upcoming campaign.

The province’s minister of sport, Lisa MacLeod, confirmed the decision Friday afternoon, according to The Canadian Press.

MacLeod believes removing purposeful contact is a necessary step in preventing the spread of COVID-19. The QMJHL, which has already had several outbreaks, influenced her decision.

“It would be safe to say that body contact unless it’s incremental, will not be permitted as a result of COVID-19,” MacLeod said earlier this month. “That would pose a challenge in terms of how they amend their play.”

So, “SHE” wants to force the OHL to become the w-OHL.

And I tried to watch some of the woman’s non-contact hockey…

That makes someone watching the NFL and they are not allowed to tackle.  It would be flag (fag) football.

    NO thanks.

    Not interested.

Premier of Ontario has come out saying he wants to see hockey to include body checking, etc.

There have been no studies that says body sports have covid transmissions.

Look at the NFL.  The cases were all from staff to play.  I have never seen nor heard of a player to player transmission.

    The same with the MLB.

The NHL had played their entire playoffs (in bubble centers) with full regular hits, and never was there a player to player transmission.
