It was the most technologically advanced system at the time that had great games, hands down.  At the same time, it was also so expensive that almost nobody had one.  It was about 1 grand to $1200 for just the console alone in today’s dollars.  Then you had to buy the games.

I used to manage a game shop and we only saw 1 of them ever come into the store while I was there.  They’re rare.

I do remember this console but I went for the PlayStation.

Yeah it wasn’t long after that the Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation were released with competitive hardware + more games at much cheaper prices.

That game is shit, it has a variety of games in it that has nothing to do with Jurassic Park. There’s a rail-n-shooter, a maze game and a driving game that isn’t anything exciting but to be fascinated by the motion effects of the dinosaurs moving about. Does it suck? You bet Jurr-ASS it sucks! In the words of Ian Malcolm, that is one big pile of dung.

I have a 3DO but no games yet. There are definitely good games I want to get. There’s this one where Mark Hamill is in it called Wing Commander 3.
