I might as well go ahead and speak on Captain Marvel. I’ve never seen it and I have no interest in seeing it. I’ve heard too many bad things about the film, including a number of people saying the best part of the film was the cat…..

Tree Larson personality issues aside, her character came across as pretty unlikeable in Endgame which was the final nail in the coffin for me.

    Thor: The Dark World

This movie generally gets a lot of flak for some would even consider it the worst movie in the MCU.

While I think it’s one of the weaker films, I do believe there’s a number things to like about the film.

Frigga – Rene Russo’s character had a bigger role this time around and she gave an outstanding performance. I was sad when she died in the film, so that said I was thrilled to see her in Endgame.

Special Effects – despite the cheesy looking spacecraft that are reminiscent of swords, I liked the special effects overall.

Selvig – pure comic relief at its best

Loki – as far as I’m concern Loki was the best part of this film. Tom Hiddleston put everything into this role and it’s clear he relishes it.

The Dark Elves – while the villains came across as cheesy, the story line regarding their goal worked well enough.

And some things I didn’t so much care for……

Jane – I’ve already shared my thoughts on her. The one thing I don’t especially like is the scene where Darcy says “We’re Americans” and she replies “Is that supposed to make them like us?” I found that scene distasteful.

I just finished The Winter Soldier and I’ve decided that my initial reaction of disappointment was unjustified.

The film has a feel of an elaborate spy thriller and keeps you on the edge of your seat. In a way it’s almost like Tom Clancy wrote the screenplay for a Marvel movie.

What I noticed this time in particular is the action scenes are very elaborate. While I have seen this movie multiple times, I wanted to try and look at it with a fresh perspective. The fight choreography and the cinematics have a very different and very welcome approach to it.

The introduction of new characters that can always be hit or miss for movies, but in this case it pays off nicely. With Sharon Carter it was a nice touch that she was more than just a love interest. Anthony Mackie’s easily steals the show as Falcon and leaves the audience looking forward to future appearances.

I probably lke Thor The Dark World more than most

I really like the dynamic between Thor and Loki, the scene where they’re escaping Asgard is one of my favorites

I’m curious to know what you’re initial reaction was, what was it that dissapointed you that doesn’t anymore?

The change in tone was not what I expected at all so I had a bit of a knee jerk reaction.
