It’s pointless to judge a person based on his character because everyone is the same trash. How many demons do you have in your closet? You may bury your problems and insecurities and scream how others are worse because that’s easier than facing your own shortcomings. I don’t care about personal stuff because that’s a distraction – even Mother Theresa and the pope are only the bestest ever in their own eyes – which is why I vote for the policy plans that they offer and not whether or not they’ve always paid taxes or whom they’ve fucked.

Think about it this way – no matter how bad Islam might be – it would be of no consequence to you if there weren’t people in your own country inviting problematic Islamists into your country. So the question to consider is – who are these people who are inviting problems where there were none, why are they doing it – and what can I do about them?

I agree with the term limits – I don’t know about the ability to recall the president at any point in time because that would make it even harder to be productive in that job no matter which side held the office. Being president is already such a masochistic job that not many of the best and the brightest are willing to sign up for it as it is (instead they influence the policies in the shadows). Making it harder to get things done on top of that while fighting a recall or an impeachment every five minutes would guarantee that only the most cutthroat, ruthless sons of bitches would run and then you’d have to choose between two psychopaths (although many people would say that’s already the case). Putting unrealistic expectations on a president like that who is just a human being like you or me would make sure that the person representing us would be the kind of person who would seldom behave like the majority of people or share the values of the majority. Maybe that’s good, maybe that’s not good – but generally whenever we try something drastically different we get something that’s drastically worse.

Well the parliament in countries run that way includes the PM. Granted a PM is merely a spokesman for the party/negotiator between coalitions, and not nearly as influential as a president. I just see a lot of potential to abuse a recall law and the higher the rank/importance of the politician the more such a law could (and most likely would) be abused to keep them in a constant fight to stay in office where it would just be more of the same lies and empty promises given to the masses like during the campaign. My way of thinking is – have that dog and pony election every four years or whatever the term length is in your country and during that period of time let them put their money where their mouth is. If they suck then you probably shouldn’t have elected them, and you probably shouldn’t elect them next time.

I agree that governors and office holders below them should be able to be impeached because they have a more dictatorial control over people’s daily lives – such as matters of quarantine, whether or not they can reopen their businesses, whether or not COVID patients get put into overcrowded nursing homes and issues of life and death. The president needs breathing room to make tough deals with foreign leaders and to focus on the big picture. If the president is in a never-ending fight to save his presidency then he won’t have any negotiating leverage with those foreign leaders because the foreign leaders are always going to bet on the other guy.

Nearly all of congress and basically every govenor needs to be replaced over this fake pandemic.
