I’d have to feel it in my hands to say for certain. It looks bigger than the PS4 controller — I hope not much bigger.
The controller that has felt best in my hands of all the ones I’ve tried (since PS2 and original Xbox) is the Xbox One S controller. The worst, by far, is the Xbox One Elite (too heavy and large for my hands).
The PS4 controller works fine for me, although pressing the tiny Options button is awkward; based on current photos, it seems that same tiny flat Options button has not been improved all that much on the new PS5 controller.
Reportedly, the PS4 controller will function with the PS5.
Will your existing PS4 controller be compatible?
Tentatively, yes. While your DualShock 4 PS4 controller will lack the new features (discussed above) of the DualSense controller, Sony has traditionally been good about backwards compatibility. PS4 games will all be backwards compatible on PS5, as should your DualShock 4 controller.
