So this was mostly going be a positive post.

I have been feeling *routine* going to universial since they reopened. I have been there once or twice a week, with my visits running from open to close. It seemed people are doing the lines better. I’ve stopped washing my hands at every bathroom I pass and doing it once every hour or two. But overall I have felt good with my experiences at universial parks, but harry potter has been crowded. Generally just move on to a different part of the parks when a mob forms. Two weeks ago, they kicked everyone out of the shelter next to the haggard ride when it was raining, due to social distancing, while I was walking by. My 3yr old requires we ride Kong each time we go, cause she loves the dinosaurs on the ride, But we skip it if the line is too long cause it seems to be one ride people cannot seem to handle. I have seen them shutdown rides if someone takes their masks off during it several times so far. Overall though I have been feeling really good.

This last weekend (Aug 8th) the wife joined us, and she is a shopper. She wanted to get outfits for the kids. We had waiting for room before moving into the store, and many others kept squeezing past and the store was packed. Managed to talk to a manager about this, as they have the queue lines to get into the stores still; but he informed us they have stopped enforcing social distancing last month. She then went go customer relations to vent. The main store at the park I normally walk through for that piece of a/c on the way out, I skipped cause I couldn’t see anything but people inside.

The park was busy this last weekend, I hear they hit capacity. Overall I didn’t feel there was an issue on most rides or walking around, but harry potter land was impossible, mainly just did dr Seuss land and a few of the restaurants (mythos still keeps their excellent reputation, food, and service)

For disney, MK for me a few weeks ago was ok, the wife wasn’t with me then. It felt stange likely cause I was used to the more adult crowds at universial, and disney was all kids. The rides didn’t generally have long lines, but all had lines and people where around the park.

Epcot with the wife was normal epcot for me, I generally don’t like epcot, lots of walking, nothing to keep the kids busy much. But it’s the wifes park, and she left it really depressed, with over half the vendors for the food&wine not being open.

We went to hollywood and the wife was with us. She finally got on RoTR (since she refused to wake up at 5-7am to join us before shutdown) and she enjoyed it. Most of the rest of the park she really want liking though, due to the shutdowns, but half the stores being closed really upset her. All the cooldown rides are closed for covid and that is understandable (being shows and greets), but really makes hollywood hard for kids with the hours they are open currently.

Having optional hand sanitation at disney, I’m not much of a fan of, but I do like it they have it after each ride. Seems universial it is iffy if one is at a ride exit.

The employees at all the parks have been great.

Wife is really almost over disney though, with so much stuff being closed that isn’t cause due to covid and the inability to go to the park, and the absolute hassle she is still dealing with them to get her AP fixed (refused to let her into hollywood studios cause of this), and the reservation system that is completely booked out.
