So I see the ethics committee won again in regards to how Ashley and Ada are designed. Their new outfits might as well be fucking burkas. This change was done so that fat, ugly cosplayers feel more comfortable dressing as these characters.

crapcom forgets that the game is set in 2004, roughly 10 years before feminism made women ugly and crazy. But that doesn’t surprise me after how they made Jill look like a tranny in 3’s remake.

anyway go ahead and skip RE4 remake, it’s clearly going to be SJW propaganda

That is a very scathing review but you peaked my interest.

I watched the trailer for this but they show only tiny snippets of gameplay.  Which would right there make me concerned the game might suck.  But all I saw was 1 guy that looks like he stepped out of a K Pop band and I THINK I saw a feminine face once, maybe twice.  Hard to tell.  Not sure why a big reveal trailer has only a few moments of the game in it, makes you wonder.

The graphics on the face of it looked amazing and it did seem very horror’ish.  Maybe there is some sort of hope?

Sure the graphics were great but that rings hollow since it’s obviously woke propaganda

I am an old school RE fan. I personally do not like anything after RE6, and RE6 wasn’t very good for that matter. I hate the two new games, because they are in First Person, and that’s just wrong for RE imo. I got RE7 back when it came out and tried it a few times, but didn’t make it too far because I absolutely hated it. Never touched it again and never want to. Zero interest in RE8 since it is FP again.

I thought Jill looked great in RE3 remake. I got the CE with the statue. I was disappointed in the amount of cut content from the original game though. I also loved RE2 remake and got the CE for that as well.

There are two RE4 games coming. The RE4 remake (all new made from scratch) and the RE4 VR game. Two separate companies are doing these as well.

Ashley and Ada looked fine to me in the RE4 remake trailer the other day. Ada is actually getting her campaign expanded. You have to expect a little change with a remake. Ada has nothing like a burka, I think you are greatly over-exaggerating. Leon looked like Leon. I don’t see the KPop reference, because alot of the men in RE games look like that, and have for a LONG time.

I am anticipating RE4 remake as I cant stand the direction they have taken with RE7 and 8.

Ada and Ashley were redesigned for woke reasons and for that I am boycotting this trash

        go home your drunk

        Modders will fix this

        #272417

I’m a console gamer, modding is out of the question for me

I also am primarily a console gamer. But you realize you can still get the game on PC right? It’s called piracy. Yep, I said it. I bought Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes on console, but I also pirated them so I could mod them and enjoy some “fun” versions of Jill and Claire…if you know what I mean. :) Nexus Mods ftw.

I mean you do you, not judging personally. I don’t want the characters to be nude or have cartoonishly oversized tits. I simply don’t want SJWs changing their iconic appearances just to “stick it to the male gaze”. It was pointless and fucking stupid for Jill’s skirt to be made into a “skort” in RE3 remake just because that bitch Anita Sarkeesian had to go and make a stupid video criticizing the female RE characters being “too sexual”(by her frigid standards might I add). Now they’re doing the same thing to Ada and Ashley here and they’re using the cover excuse of “muh realism” and “muh practicality”. The “realism and practicality” platitudes fall flat on their face when you take into consideration the fact that cops and government agents would NOT have hair the length Leon has his yet feminazis allow Leon’s appearance to be untampered with because “muh realism” and “muh practicality” only applies when it’s being done to cover up female bodies.

there is nothing sexual about skirts and there’s nothing sexual about dresses, the “logic” that suggest they are sexual is the same “logic” of people who ask what rape victims were wearing, if anyone should understand and be bothered by that it SHOULD be the feminists crapcom is catering to, but no because disgusting feminazis care more about being spiteful to males than they do about their ideology’s internal consistency(or lack thereof)

I say forget everything about the “woke” part of it and focus on the changes they appear to be making that will undoubtedly affect the game negatively on release: The appearances of Capcom trying to make the game fall more in line with the “gritty realism” they tried shoehorning into both Resi2 and Resi3 remakes.

Not for nothing, but, Resident Evil has always been at it’s best when it indulges in the camp and inherent goofiness the plot presents, and still asks you to take the story seriously enough to get you invested. The emphasis on the horror aspects in the classics–however limited they were. I mean… The most unnerving thing about the games were some of the more outlandish creatures. Zombies were just mostly in large numbers, not anything unusual.

Resident Evil 4 strayed from the horror aspects of the classics that mostly revolved around strategically placed–and, dare I say, truly cinematic–camera angles and instead lopped the camera off its perch and placed it lovingly on a stop sign, and proceeded to jam it up Leon’s ass.

This added a different level of horror in the fact that Leon could only look and observe one direction in… Idk, roughly a 100° range, if I’m being generous. That, and, it never quite did away with the limited item supply. Sure, goodies spew forth from Ganados like fleshy pinatas, but, it wasn’t guaranteed, and you still needed to play smart.

I’m willing to bet they’re going to push home the RE2 Remake controls much to the possible detriment of the gameplay, and I’m also willing to bet they won’t bother with adaptive difficulty like the original had.

It’s borderline impossible to catch lightning in a bottle twice, and Capcom has been trying since Resi5 to do that.

Some may say the RE2 Remake was Capcom catching that formula again, and, it’s arguably factual–I don’t believe that to be the case, because much of the fanfare over the game was aimed at the wrong aspects. Whether you like that particular game or not, it was the first real instance that Capcom has no interest in being overly faithful to the source material, and were more than willing to haphazardly finish a game just to bank on nostalgia.

Compare Resi1 Remake to the Original, and then make that same comparison between Resi2 Remake and its original. The Resi1 Remake wasn’t only faithful to what came before, it only really added to the story beats and gameplay elements, it didn’t strip them away.

capcom doing stuff like this brings fear to crawl under my skin, for i worry dearly about monster hunter 6. i fear it will be a woke fest: censorship, woke characters, woke character design menu.

it sucks that even the japanese game companies are bowing to such ideologies.

Saw the new trailer at the showcase yesterday and in it we see that I was 100% correct as usual. An absolute disgrace, the graphics and gameplay look great but it’s potential is completely wasted because it has Anita Sarkeesian’s post-gamergate fishy odor all over it with Ada and Ashley’s disgusting redesigns

I saw nothing WOKE in any of the trailers or presentation yesterday. It all looked great.

If you want to have this opinion that it is WOKE, you are free to of course. So, don’t buy it and the rest of us will enjoy it.

The redesigns of Ada and Ashley are 100% woke. I guarantee you if gamergate didn’t happen and we weren’t living in this woke zeitgeist, their outfits wouldn’t have changed 1 iota
