The ONLY reason these particular changes have been made; the outfits, removing Leon’s line “women” when Ada makes the boat spin out of control, removing the dead ganado woman who had that pitchfork through the head, removing Leon asking Hunnigan out. I know what you’re trying to say but you sound a ways the way you said it. It’s funny how people want their women in their lives to be modest, but we want the cleavage in our entertainment. But then if there was too much skin then you would be saying, “This game is woke because it promotes sexual promiscuity & as a gamBer, I don’t want my kids to play it!” lol
So this is how I view these games:
Games targeting Americans/Canadians make their characters look either unappealing or ugly. Compare RE4-Remake to Atomic Heart. The female characters in RE4 look like sacks of potatoes wearing clothes. Whereas ALL the female characters in the Russian made game are all sexy & appealing, even the old lady in the beginning is hotter than the femaliens in most American games. Look at Potato Sack Model, Aloy from Forbidden West, she literally wears a potato sack under her armor to avert the male gaze. This is American gamBing!
And your closing line after all you wrote was the chef’s kiss “Basically avoid this game because it doesn’t have sexy women because it’s a bad game!” lol

RE 2 and RE3 remakes changed things, cut things, added things, and changed characters looks. It is NO surprised that it was done in RE4 as well. I personally have LOVED all the remakes. I am a RE fan from way back. I am going to pick up my copy of RE4 remake in about 20 min.
Yes, I despise WOKE and SJW and Identity Politics. I am SICK of it. But, this game having some changes for MANY reasons is not that big of a deal man.
The cold hard fact is: You aren’t going to change anything going on and on about this on the forums for months on end as this thread has done. You aren’t “combating the problem” here on these forums. We get the point already, you don’t like it. If you want to be constructive about it, go towards Capcom, not the GnG forums. Sure, it was a nice topic and opinion to have, but it’s runs it’s course now.

What I’m trying to tell you, clothing choice like this is not woke. Woke are obsessed with sexuality, they would have rathered Jill to look like a sex worker but then at the same time it would have been objectifying women. This was a NOTHING. Street Fighter 6 is more woke than RE4 remake. That is a game strongly targeting a young stupid American demographic. Las plagas and the Los Illuminados (notice the name) is a direct reference to the ‘enlightened’ elites (Illuminados/Illuminati) that wish to impose cybernetics onto the global population for easier population control. These cybernetics used as control for the masses and enhancement / total immortality for them. This is a similar theme in games like system shock 2 and Deus ex.
