It is OK to disagree with someone as they are allowed to have an opinion as well. It’s something that a lot of people these days- mainly Twitter- don’t seem to understand. I know very few- if any- people that like the Star Wars sequel trilogy and that’s fine with me. Personally I won’t go near most of Disney Star Wars after what Ms Kennedy has done to it. I know at least only two people who liked ‘Captain Marvel’ and, again, same thing; I wouldn’t go near that film even if they tied me to a chair in order for me to watch it lol but I respect their opinion since it’s their opinion.
Now do not anyone take offense to this as its not meant to be taken offensively.
Noticing Religion and Sexuality gets brought up and then must be explained or defended. Goes to the point I made, there were topics (Politics, Religion and Sex) that use to be off limits because they caused problems, even if it was only to have to explain a point of view/rationalize it.
This is one of the few Forums I can think of on the Net where people can have that discussion as most specifically state in the TOS they are off limits. This is also the only one I have seen in Years where without Moderators, these conversations happen with a good discussion as well.
Words I need work on living by….I always had trouble earning other people’s respect. I can be such an unintentional asshole to other people in my real life, I try to socialize with others as best I can with my limited social understanding but it never works out. Aspergers make it hard for me to properly socialize with others and I often get looked at as the bad guy no matter what and when I try to be nice to others then I get taken advantage of.
This happens all too many times.
I ran across this quote recently. I know it describes myself for sure and I think it applies to more people than you realize. My point is you are by no means alone or in the company of few.
