Passed away at 88 from Parkinson’s related health issues.

Great character actor, and earned a place in nerd history for first bringing Bilbo to life on the big screen. My personal favorite Ian Holm nerd role in Veto Cornelius in Fifth Element.

Always sad when the good ones pass.
