definitely a top song above. Diamond Dave was so athletic and they looked like it was so much fun. I still think about that, how Dave and Steve Tyler were so athletic on camera that the other frontmen seemed like a let down. Always wondered what happened to the young acrobatic frontmen in party spandex rock, which is why I was just not into grunge. It never measured up. Story Of The Year came a bit close.
That song is from the Animated film *Prince of Egypt*
I did not appreciate this guy enough. Got to see him in concert once and it was a great time.
Old skool.
Boudica (also written as Boadicea) was a Celtic queen who led a revolt against Roman rule in ancient Britain in A.D. 60 or 61. Like other ancient Celtic women, Boudica had trained as a warrior, including fighting techniques and the use of weapons.
“Boadicea”, which means “victorious”, is a reference to the queen Boudica of the British-Celtic Iceni tribe in East Anglia who led a resistance against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire in 60 A.D., but was defeated and subsequently poisoned herself. As a song about her was already written, Richardson wished for a new track that depicted the idea of “being spellbound” by Boudica, which turned into “I Want Tomorrow”.
This came on the radio. Sounded so Irish and Celtic and festive, so I used the app to seek the music and…John Williams. No way, but yes. Yet another wonderful orchestra piece among many.
Going thru more of an instrumental phase these days, but this one has singing. Never heard this song prior to the movie which makes me wonder how many jigs and reels I haven’t heard yet that I’d like. There is something so bouncy and joyful about it. Like those work songs. Seems like such deep roots.
Kind of ashamed I didn’t know this song. It seems like such a classic. Reminds me of something John Denver would sing.
did you know of this prior to the movie?
