A pitch for a potential Sonic SATAM Netflix reboot it originally started off as a rewrite of Sonic Forces but the more I rewrote it I realized that Sonic Forces is basically diet SATAM so I made this instead a reboot of SATAM the first image is actually a commission one of my friends made the last two images are just pictures I fond on Deviantart if you have any questions about the project don’t be shy
The show takes place on Planet Mobius, a dystopian fantasy world. Prior to the events of the series, a warlord and former scientist named Doctor Eggman conquered the planet. Eggman was once head of the Mobotropolis War Ministry. During a previous conflict, his creation of robotic soldiers called Badniks led to the country’s victory. In the war’s aftermath, Eggman was to be appointed Minister of Science. However, he seized power and exiled the king. Eggman captures most of the citizens, including Sonic’s Cousin Percy. Using Sonic’s Uncle Chuck’s Roboticizer invention, Eggman transforms the population into his robot slaves. A handful of citizens escape to Knothole Village, and form the Freedom Fighters. Led by Sonic and Princess Sally, they battle to liberate Mobius.
(Note I don’t have an agent and although I would love for this show to be animated I don’t have any animation skills so someone else would have to do the animation and art)
The Robotnik in my series is a lot more cold and cruel compared to the more modern games’ interpretation of “Eggman” and I took a bit of inspiration from Grand Admiral Thrawn and Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender he is a cruel, calculating and heartless dictator he is an expert in robotics, mechanics, and politics and his design is ripped right from the SATAM cartoon
Similar to the SATAM continuity he used to be a war minister for King Acorn until he staged a coup against him and his kingdom
It was revealed by the late Ben Hurst that if Sonic SATAM were to get a third season he would’ve included Knuckles into the show so I decided to write him into the show the Knuckles in “Sonic Freedom” is not and I mean NOT an idiot he is a cool, calm and collective guardian of the Master Emerald think Piccolo from DBZ or Zoro from One Piece he is sort of a “on again, off again” member of the Freedom Fighters by that I mean sometimes he’s down to go on a mission other times he’s gotta protect the Master Emerald I wrote a two part episode called “The Floating Island” introducing him into the show
Knuckles is my favorite Sonic Character, i’ve never thought he was an idiot, a bit naive and gullible at times, yes, but never an idiot, i do find him similar to Zoro from One Piece (who’s in fact my fave One Piece character). I do belive Knuckles can be calm and collective when he’s protecting his friends or like in Sonic Freedom guarding the Master Emerald, but i also think being hot headed at times is part of his personality, i would like to see a blend of the calm and collected and the hot headed Knuckles
Whatever direction you choose to go, i can’t wait to see what new adventures Knuckles is gonna be a part of 😸
And of course, Knuckles is cool!
