Thompson Twins were very underrated. Their early work with synthesizers is amazing and still holds up (In The Name Of Love, Doctor Doctor). Tom Bailey is on the oldies touring circuit now and his voice is exactly the same. He had a solo album in 2018 called Science Fiction that is very catchy.

One hit wonder? Murray Head, One Night In Bangkok.

New wave was my favorite. Adam Ant is still out there. I appreciate that it was so different from what was mainstream at the time.

Danny Elfman has to be my number 1. Oingo Boingo get no love, but they were a truly unique, talented band. Even if this song does kind of make my skin crawl.

Most of the stuff I listened to in the 80s is still getting airtime now. Metallica, AC/DC, Kiss, Ozzy, Bowie… Its a long list but pretty much anything on the radio as new then is the oldies station now.
