I’ve been watching Expedition Theme Park, Yesterworld Entertainment, Defunctland and other youtube channels that cover the theme parks. So I was wondering what everyone’s canceled attraction that they wish wouldn’t have been? I really would I’ve liked to seen what Beastly Kingdom and Disneys America would have been and what expansion could have happened at those parks.

I would’ve loved to have seen WestCOT, the planned second park at Disneyland before California Adventure

If you mean canceled by Attractions that were there but now gone, Definitely Horizons. Everything about that attraction embodied entirety of Future world of EPCOT CENTER. Such a fantastic ride.

As for Attractions that were meant to be made but never built, A lot of Marc Davis’ ideas I wish was made that I’d love to experience. Two notable ones are his big magnum opus, Western River Expedition. It was gonna be WDW’s cowboy version of DL’s Pirates. Everything I read and saw about this attraction, made me wish it happened. Sadly it never got built when people asked where’s Pirates when WDW first opened and they had make another Pirates instead of the planned of Western River Expedition. Although many elements for the attraction lives on in two big major rides designed by Tony Baxter: Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

The second never built attraction Marc worked on is a dark ride featuring a winter wonderland theme and the Snow Queen. Looking at the illustrations, it would of been a very beautiful and majestic ride if it was built. Though if it was built, you know somewhere down future line it would of turned into Frozen anyway so i’m kinda glad it wasn’t built from that aspect lol. I highly recommend the “Marc Davis: In His Own Words Imagineering the Theme Parks” by Pete Docter and Christopher Merritt. It as an immense amount of information wealth on ALL thing Marc Davis worked on regarding the theme parks and have never before seen artwork. I highly recommend it. I recommend it to Jeremy Griggs and unsure if he went and got it or not.  here’s a link to buying the book

Love the forgotten history of parks. What are your thoughts on three months ago the DIY disney at home?

What do you think people should have done and with the canceling of “not so scary” should someone do somthing like that?
