If you’re a fan of Game Of Thrones and other medieval/fantasy type shows, and you haven’t seen The Last Kingdom, you are completely missing out. It is one of Netflix’s best shows, and every season continues to be excellent in its writing and character development. For a historical show, it handles the history of the time better than most. The first couple episodes are a little slow, but after that it really takes off and does not stop. The fourth season was just released a couple weeks ago.

I really want to see season 3.  Is the show on another live service?

If they don’t make a season 5 it will destroy the show’s relevance. Without mentioning spoilers Season 4 is a huge set up for major characters in the next chapter (if Netflix renews the show for another season).

My parents, my sister and my friend all said this was great. If I get Netflix this will definitely be on the list to watch.

Great show! I hear the books it is based on are exceptional as well. I haven’t had the time to read them yet though.

I was a fan of this show till the one episode this season. I think it was episode 8 of season 4. Uhtred gives the throne to Lady Aethelflaed. It was kind of woke… Apparently she actually ruled Mercia in history but I dont like how they set it up this season. Brida was a good character but they went too woke with her. King Edword acted like a idiot. I don’t know… This show was good but I hated season 4.

The Last Kingdom is a very good show. They make good use of the production budget by filming in Eastern Europe.

Alexander Dreymon is a good lead & the supporting cast works pretty well.

The books the series are based on are excellent, written by Bernard Cornwell, author of so many fantastic reads.

Its true Season 4 missed David Dawsons Alfred the Great, his interaction with Uhtred drove the show, but the quality level is still there.
