TLOU2 is not as bad as The Last Jedi

I mean, yeah. It’s still bad, don’t get me wrong…

But AT LEAST it is Neil Druckman and Naughty Dog’s own creation and not a hostile takeover of a property like The Last Jedi was. I can appreciate Naughty Dog screwing their own property into the ground and losing their audience over it. But I have bigger issues with Jar Jar Abrams and Ruin Johnson taking SOMEONE ELSE’s original work and established fandom and fucking it to the ground.

In my opinion The Force Awakens was the worst. Thats because my expectations were so high and I absolutely hated that trash. I was so mad. I was fucking pissed. So when the next two movies came out I was expecting them to be garbage. Now they were way worse than I actually thought they would be lol But I wasn’t as mad. Its complete trash but thats what I was expecting.

So I am one of the many who had a honeymoon period with The Force Awakens. I knew a few were upset with the film, but a few were vocal about the prequels and I figured it was just noise. Then Rogue One happened and ironically I found myself amongst the minority in disliking the film immediately. So taking that loss into The Last Jedi, I think I convinced myself it had to be good. I did enjoy it the first time. But the second time the sheen started to wear off and a few weeks later I realized how much of a travesty it was. But I still had The Force Awakens. Solo was meh at best. I thought it was better than Rogue One, but that’s still a low bar. Then Rise of Skywalker released and it is what killed it all for me. It tied nothing up from The Force Awakens, so all these possibilities were opened up and just left out there. Plus, I already didn’t like The Last Jedi, but it didn’t need to get shat on again. I see the holes in The Force Awakens now, but it definitely took me a while.

The prequels are still good. Part of that is nostalgia. I was a kid when they came out. They have problems though. Still way better than any of the Disney Star Wars movies.
