I recently rewatched the animated movie from about 16 or 17 years ago, the first time I’d seen it since watching it in the theater. I enjoyed it pretty well.

I’ve had little desire to see this new movie, and even less after hearing about some of the stuff in it.

For me, the turtle are at their best when they’re mostly serious. That doesn’t mean they can’t also be goofy at times, but for me the level of goofiness in the trailers for this new movie was too much. They are suppose to be warriors, they carry weapons for reasons, they need to have a fairly high level of maturity, not act like a bunch of kids doing stupid stuff for kicks.

Have you met their children?  They are mixed-species, and they think Ninja weapons are “old and stupid”.

@Vknid That one is good too. I’ve seen those memes of Splinter walking baby turtles and teenage turtles walking old Splinter. I like the one above too of turbo MAGA.
With the Splinter situation and the generational aging, might be a good idea in another 20 years, to maybe, like Old Man Logan, have Old Men Ninja Turtles teaching the Turbo Teenage Frog Ninjas or… “T.T.F.N.”
