I decided to use “unusual” because I couldn’t think of a better term. I mean music that is different from what you consider normal, perhaps even very different.

Throat singing is something that has long fascinated me. This group, Huun Huur Tu, played a a nearby universe, probably six or seven years ago, and I was able to attend that concert. Enjoyed it a lot.

You’ve probably heard Ladysmith Black Mambazo before, if you’ve watched the old version of The Lion King.

This one may not be so unusual, as it’s them singing along with Dolly Parton on “Knocking On Heaven’s Door”, but I still like it.

That last video, that dude on the drum (djembe maybe??) is phenomenal. Fantastic music, my friend, you keep putting forward.

So, this song means alot to me. This song is about death, passing on peacefully, and celebrating the passing. Death is viewed differently in each culture, and the Norse believed it was beautiful.

@Vknid : I got to see The Hu live with Babymetal two years ago. It was fantastic. Those guys really put on a good energetic show.

I suggest people try out Dead Can Dance. They have a variety of music and styles introduced in their songs. I would suggest starting with Into the Labyrinth.
