also having a bit of a yakuza kick as well

Even though it’s not a score, just a soundtrack. I still listen to the music from Quake 2. I even have it ripped to MP3 in my Jeep. It makes for really good driving music.

The only good 5 minutes in Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell

I love the ‘Uncharted’ soundtrack. Especially for Uncharted 2. The way the music ebbs and flows with what happens onscreen during gameplay is some of the best I’ve experienced.

The Witcher 3 soundtrack is amazing from the score itself, to the mixing. I recently tried playing Hades, and that soundtrack hit me like I wasn’t expecting. Growing up playing games, I’d say some of my favorites are Jet Set Radio Future, James Bond: Golden Eye, Halo, and the Arkham series.

I always liked soundtrack for The King of Fighters series and Castlevania. So glad it’s featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Recently, I’ve been getting into Touhou Project. I may not have played any game yet but the music and it’s endless remixes is a gold mine.

The soundtrack to Need for Speed High Stakes has always been my #1 favorite video game soundtrack. The soundtracks to all of the NFS games released in the years 1998, 1999, and 2000 respectively have always been some of my most favorite musical works in general, especially for being a life-long fan of electronic music such as myself.

Aside from these three soundtracks however, I would say that the soundtrack to NieR: Automata would be a more recent favorite of mine.

People have already mentioned Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect, but I wanted to add the Tomb Raider soundtracks, specifically Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.
