Which is better. Star Wars The Holiday Special  or  Star Wars The Last Jedi?

I bet a lot of  other Star Wars Fans. Would pick Star Wars The Holiday Special over Star Wars The Last Jedi.

      Holiday

      The Last Jedi.

Nearly everything was off with that Holiday special.

The Holiday Special took us to the Wookiee home planet. The Last Jedi took us to a casino. The Holiday Special gave us Boba Fett. The Last Jedi gave us

a sea monster with green tit milk. The Holiday Special gave us a Jefferson Starship music video. The Last Jedi gave us a shitty Yoda CGI cameo. The Holiday

Special gave us Princess Leia singing to the Star Wars Theme. The Last Jedi gave us Leia floating through space. The Holiday Special gave us a VR cybersex

machine. The Last Jedi gave us Rose Tico.  The Holiday Special gave us Han Solo punching a stormtrooper out of a tree house. The Last Jedi gave us

Ackbar getting blown out the window into space like a xenomorph.

So difficult to choose really. But I’ll go with the Holiday Special because it gave us a Wookiee Cookbook and a Chewbacca Storybook starring Lumpy and

was the first introduction of Wookiee Cookies.

The Last Jedi’s Yoda was actually a puppet.

At least the Holiday special is comically bad, Last Jedi is just awful and did a lot of harm to the franchise.

No one cares. Force ghosts cannot call lightning.

that was not Yoda just like the character on screen was not Luke.

Holiday Special as it gave us Bea Arthur singing in the Cantina while pouring a jug of drink into a guys head. Then that contraption that went over Grandad Wookies head that got him over excited, to mention a few. It’s an unintentional classic, whilst TLJ is, well, just crap

          But they can!

I saw it with my own two eyes!

          It totally happened, bro.

The rat franchise is not canon.

          Itchy and Lumpy: enough said

Holiday Special wins by 2 parsecs (6.172 × 10 to the 13th power km)

Unless the Holdo maneuver is used

Then it wins by infinity +1

(Rian Johnson logic/science was used here)

Only things last Jedi gave us were nice framed cinematography…. so I choose Holiday special. LoL

I haven’t seen the Holiday Special for at least 30 years, and may not remember parts of it.

But I did go see Caravan of Courage at the movies, I may have been 9.

My vote is clearly the Holiday Special – I’ve crumpled and throw away better stories than Rian’s disaster.  I’ll say the look, the music, the effects all show the quality of the people at ILM, Lucasfilm and the budget they were working with.

But the actual story choices he made, were shameful. If I was chosen to direct the next Marvel/Red Dwarf/whatever movie, it’s rather clear that respect to the previous works and staying within the framework of the Lore of a multi billion dollar, and 40 odd years of stories is not just implied, it’s compulsory.
He could have put his subversive tale into the well established Star Wars universe, but that, unfortunately, was simply beyond him.
