Are you calling me a troll? I am no troll. I have been a regular, participating part of this community.
I created a Parler account based on the advice of someone else here. I discovered some things in my experience that was not mentioned by the person who encouraged it, things that might be important to others (or not, by all appearances in this thread).
Of course if I still wanted an account on Parler, I could create another account. I’m not ” crying about not being allowed on the platform”. I created an account there fully expecting a good experience, which wasn’t the case, and have shared my experience.
Regarding my privacy concerns, hacking happens. Maybe protecting personal data isn’t a concern for typical social media users anymore; but it remains a concern for me.
- Twitter does not ask for my phone number for a basic account.
- Twitter has never taken issue with my participation there (I behave, and I’m not there to argue).
- Twitter allows me to update the email address connected to my account myself, on my own.
- Twitter does not have a tip jar linked to their support account.
