I notice many YouTubers will comment on a Twitter statement and talk specifically about it’s popularity level as a direct ratio considering it’s Likes and Retweets.  It’s as if they believe that X amount of likes/retweets make it true or globally popular.

Do folks not realize that Twitter is a highly curated and censored platform?  Believing anything on there and trying to decern popularity or believability based on likes/retweets seems like a fools game to me.

To me it’s akin to thinking that ad you just got on Facebook for fishing poles is organic considering 5mins ago you searched for fishing poles on Google.

The title makes me wonder too. Like why do people like Jordan Peterson think getting suspended on Twitter means they are banished to Valhalla, are victims of the dragon of chaos and are getting destroyed by the society. It’s just a platfrom with its own rules, stop crying.

The bans are a big part of why Twitter does not connect with reality.  Between that and the algorithms that only show certain things, artificially inflate some while shadow banning others it offers a beyond distorted view of the world.  Which is pretty much my point.

Well no shit, it’s a social media platform and not reality. Twitter is useful for everyday discussion and a great way to connect and express yourself without being in contact. But twitter has certain rules and regulations you need to follow. Don’t like it, get out. Just like JP said he would after he got owned on Twitter but proceeded to tweet for over 20 times and then self destructing and becoming a martyr. It’s a social media platform not reality, wipe those tears off and move on, snowflake.

Social media is an addiction. When i was in Basic training facebook was all the rage. Female recruits were literally having sex with Drill Sgts. Just so they could check their Facebook. Now people have become addicted to getting likes and retweets and seek validation from it. When i worked for one of the big three tech firms we had to delete our Facebook and twitter accounts. People walked away from possibly the best job they ever had offered to them because they couldnt live with out twitter. We had a team of people that would search and see if you did it or not, and we fired the ones who didnt.

Like the Beard said, its an Addiction. Why do you think people use to have $1000.00 + pay to play bills.

Many people use it to simply feel better about their life. Are you one of those, who get on and when you see someone having problems, you actually feel better about yourself? Are you one of those who get online and go to Threads or others Accounts / pages to dislike or disagree with them? If so you are using it to feel better about your life. I have told people this for years. Get off social media part of the net for 1 month just a simple month and see if you do not see an improvement in how you feel.

If you feel better after that month, you know you had/have a problem and its called your life. Fix your life because you are living a fake one online that is dragging you down.

Luckily he hasn’t touched me anywhere but I can show you exactly on the Jordan Peterson’s grandma doll where JP dreams to rub his face in 🤮

It represents the views and reflections of a very particular group of people. It’s not the opinion of the average individual in any way. The issue is that, to those like yourself who are unaware of how that operates, it is incredibly misleading. There are millions of individuals who never even consider the possibility that what they are reading might not always be the absolute, objective truth. At least you have the opportunity to question it.

Why do people forget that for the past 1000 years there was no Twitter and we communicated fine for the most part.

what? We literally couldn’t communicate with anyone outside close proximity without it taking days or even weeks. Without twitter we have other social medias but take all that away then of course life would get harder, it’s no doubt.

Sometimes I look at some people who are famous on Twitter and it feels like everything is for show… As rude as it sounds. This platform is really controlled and their likes and subscriptions don’t mean they’ve accomplished anything or that they’re right in some debate. I decided to drop all social media and most messengers. I left only the downloaded version whats mod apks in order to keep in touch with people who are far away. But I try to pay more attention to what’s going on in the real world.

Twitter as I have said before is just a propaganda weapon at this point.  It is not at all a free market of ideas.  It’s just an echo chamber meant to control the Overton window.
