Will the SJW Infestation ever end?

I think COVID accelerated their demise, but the current social unrest gave them an a life support injection.

If the 2020 election goes the opposite of the way they want it, they are going to lose their shit to epic proportions. The actions and antics from that fallout will likely turn the normies off even more.

As someone who hopes to sell an IP that does not bend the knee to SJW progressive politics and just tells a real story for entertainment purposes, I really hope that this shit ends. SJWs are gate keeping real creatives from getting their products out to the market  place, and it does everyone a disservice.

It’s not going to end until the leaders of the companies and movie studios are replaced or finally tell them to “shut up”.

I don’t know what triggered it, but it just seems like this big shift occurred around 2010 and the SJW infestation really took off. I work at a women’s college and it amazes me how many students have no clue about the awesome movies that existed before many of them were born that had all that representation and inclusivity and great female leads that the SJWs constantly cry about. But because those movies aren’t promoting an agenda, they get ignored or “cancelled”.

Truth.

There is an argument to be made that Twitter is the source of all their power and all this crap. Without Twitter, SJWs would not have a even half the power they try to wield against normal people.

Social Media (lead by Twitter) is a megaphone that enhances a minority viewpoint into sounding like a majority one. Take away that megaphone and nobody cares. The media would have to actually do work again and you eliminate a lot of the drive by comments that trigger people. We might even actually start having real conversations again!

Problem is I think that social media isn’t going away short of a forced shutdown/civil war which it may come to if the leftist SJWs have their way and are able to completely silence any opposing viewpoints in media and entertainment. If the election has Trump getting 4 more years (which is the likely scenario), you can bet what’s going on right now is nothing compared to the tantrum these dumbasses are going to be throwing over the course of his next term! If they continue to silence anything that isn’t SJW it will not go well for them! We already see it in movies, tv, comics, sports even knitting as Nerdrotic pointed out yesterday on the Nooner live stream! Not having any form of escapism from the real world will eventually grate on all of us even more then it already is until we want nothing more then to retaliate but when that happens I don’t think the SJWs will be expecting how resounding that retaliation will be. They are poking the giant bear and if they keep poking the giant bear eventually it wakes up. Awakening the sleeping giant never goes well…

Sadly I don’t think so, maybe one day they will lose enough credibility to where we can have our films again but there will always be those people out there

I think many of us have already said “enough is enough”.  I buy what I like, which isn’t much, and ignore the rest.  But the question was about “the majority”. As long as enough consumers continue to watch, buy, and discuss SJW-pandering content, it will never end.  Maybe it never will.

With that said, @lavosslayer:   How can we in particular claim to not have “any form of escapism from the real world”?

We video gamers are quite adept at “escapism”. :D   There are plenty of non-SJW/”woke” titles in my video game library.
