I hate my camera. The blacks are all washed into one color and the ice ball or lightning or whatever it is just looks shiny.

I’m currently working on painting a force of Rogue Trader Dark Angels vintage figures (so 28 years old or more) that will work with the current 9th edition of warhammer 40k.

Here’s the assault squad and dreadnought.

    Damn @StephenDutton !

That is a very great collection of Eagles.

Thanks. I also have a 3d printed Eagle I bought off eBay that I was going to assemble for this photo but in the process of putting it together I saw just how stupid the proportions are. I knew it was about 30-50% too wide but the pod was so flat it just didn’t make sense. Now I’m going to use the parts for when I get around to making the Vulture from my fan fiction.

Good photos and painting you lot!

I had a grey knight and tau army, when they was “friends” but the newer rule book ruined that :(

My opponents (friends) were tyranids and eldar (both normal and dark) and we had loads of arguments bout dice roles and lore. Fun times!

The one thing I’ll say, is its a very expensive hobby and it isn’t always down to your tactics or luck but also your bank balance

40k has always been about your bank acount.

One of the reasons I prefer D&D style fantasy.

When it comes to tabletop, it’s everything (mostly bank balance) but I’ve had a 10ft by 6 ft table running at me and when my riptide with a dreadknight at each shoulder jumped onto the field at the last moment …. Well I still lost but it was still epic!

Songs will be wrote of that moment!

    Dam those tyranids!

There was a time in 40k when you could get a starter army of 30 marines in transports for £20. The earlier picture I posted of the assault squad and dreadnought came from this era and I’ve just shot a vide talking about the army as a whole. This will go on YouTube in about a week but here’s a picture of it:

You had a table running at you?
    I got nothin

Officially, attacking your opponent with furniture is frowned upon in games of 40k. However, I did once manage to disrupt a Tau player’s attack by asking him “If you take an anteater and train it to be a man-eating anteater, is it still an anteater?” His face went red, he held his head in his hands and his brain broke.

I wasn’t part of that game but the guy was playing Tau, he deserved it.

I once was in an apocalypse game, around 16 of us. In fact I think it was one of my first games, I didn’t know what to expect as I haven’t even started collecting then.

Anyways me and a friend went and got a pint each before the first turn, as you can imagine all we could do was move. By the time it came back round, we was 5 beers in and still wasn’t in range to shoot anything. I think I was nearing 9 before I even fired a shot and missed every one haha.

Anyways can’t remember who won but it was a good day.

Tell you something, seeing photos of models and dioramas don’t do them justice!
