Your History with Anime

My first exposure to anime was also through English dubs of most of those, but I didn’t really start caring about anime until I heard a Japanese dub for the first time which was of Dragon Ball Z when I was in high school. I really enjoyed how the language sounded and It got me into studying Japanese and meeting a Japanese girlfriend who then sucked me into more anime and manga and I eventually ended up going to Japan to live there for two years and now I’m fluent in the language.

1) What type of Anime were you exposed to?

When i was a little kid there was a channel that showed tons of anime from the 70s and 80s, my fave of those being Ranma 1/2, so mostly that was the type of anime i was first exposed to, they showed so many i can’t even remember the titles of half of them

2) When did you started to become a Anime Fan?

Digimon Frontier, that’s when i started to become obsessed with Digimon and anime at 4 years old

3) What was your gateway Anime?

I don’t really understand what you mean by gateway, if you mean what’s the very first anime i ever watched, i don’t really remember, it might be Ranma 1/2, i was 2 years old when i first watched anime, not kiddig

4) What was your childhood Anime?

Digimon, fave anime of all time, another childhood favorite is Hamtaro, also grew up watching Ranma 1/2, Pokémon, Dragon Ball, One Piece, Detective Conan (another fave), Yu-Gi-Oh, though i really got into that with GX as i was too little to remember most of the original, Beyblade, Doraemon, Pretty Cure, Zatch Bell (also one of my faves), later in middle school Fullmetal Alchemist, and it’s now my second fave anime of all time, and many, many more anime wich i can’t remember right now :P
