A major new study shows that masks don’t stop the spread of COVID. Will the mandaters apologize?

A dozen scientists from around the world conducted a massive metastudy of our efforts to fight COVID…

    About time.

The authors examined 78 different studies on the efficacy of different mitigation efforts such as masking, distancing, screening, quarantining, and hand-washing. How did these interventions affect the spread of the flu, COVID, or similar viruses?

    What did they discover?

For starters, hand-washing was effective in stopping the spread of these illnesses. That’s not surprising.

But here’s the most eye-opening finding: “Wearing masks in the community probably makes little or no difference to the outcome of influenza‐like illness/COVID‐19-like illness compared to not wearing masks.” In other words, masks didn’t do much — if anything.

With the size of those particles and how easily they fit thru the average masks, let along after wearing a mask for a period of time (and your moisture from your breathe effecting the material of the mask, etc.)

Early on, when public-health officials told us to wear masks, they were simply playing it safe. But as time went on, even as the efficacy of masks became more doubtful, the officials switched from asking to mandating.

A power trip and the desire to control people.

What happened in the past happened in the past. The mask mandaters in 2020 had an excuse. The mandaters in 2023 don’t. Today, they should all personally and publicly fess up and explain why they made the mistakes they did.

Yay, and how stunted the growth of our very young, with the lack of seeing faces and interacting, and how that effected their speaking/intelligence, etc.

If the mask mandaters don’t explain the source of their error, they are immolating whatever authority and credibility they have left.

Too many people already don’t trust those people (be they health officials, politicians, etc).

They had ruined too many lives and livelihoods.

Can I file this one under “duh!”?

      :)

Ironically I still see a lot of folks with masks.  That being people who voluntarily wear them.  I am ok with that.  But I still find it silly.

Some NPC will continue to wear them until new programming is downloaded.  Germaphobes.

Whenever I go to my doctor’s office, all the nurses still wear them, and half the time the doctors do/don’t.

When I go get lab work done, all the employees and patients are still required to wear a mask.

And I have yet to hear a word from the so-called “environmentalists” about how wasteful and landfill clutter those single-use masks and latex gloves, etc. have been.

It’s how easily the masses fell for the fear mongering that is truly concerning.

      George Orwell was right

I remember reading George Orwell’s 1984 while in high school. The final discussion we had about the book focused on the question, “Could this happen in the United States?” The overwhelming opinion of my classmates, my teacher, and myself back in 1986 was a resounding “no.” There was no way the people would ever allow the government to exert so much control over their lives. There was absolutely no way that words would be banned or that we’d allow a minority to rewrite the history of the majority.

Sadly, I heard this novel has been removed not only from required reading, but also from the libraries so people CAN’T read it.

The covid-19 lockdowns showed how readily Americans will give up their constitutional rights in the interest of public safety. Within days of an epidemic being declared, we gave up our right to assemble, travel, and worship freely. We let the government determine which businesses were essential and which ones needed to shut their doors and give up revenue for months at a time.

And we were attacked to no being like the NPC/sheep and just going along with it… peacefully/willingly/etc.

It’s no wonder radical elements of the government and the cultural Left have tried to push the bounds of what we’re willing to tolerate in a post-COVID world.

And the extremely toxic far alt-left will push and push until their totalitarian marxist/communist world order is in place, and you are all serfs under them.

Their social experiments/manipulations must be stopped.

For next, after we have seen how easily they can declare what business can/cannot stay open (“essential”), how easily can they then do that to individuals (social credit scores).  Those who cannot travel, purchase goods, work, etc.

We have seen too often how when we give these warnings, we are dismissed as conspiracy theorists, but all to often it has come to pass.

When I see a virtue signaler now I actually make a point of saying just that loud enough to be heard but not so loud to be rude.  How many people will  ever trust the government again? Answer: 1 is to many.
