What do you think of Akira?
How do feel about Akira getting a live-action adaptation film with Soyka Woketitties(Taika Waititi) in the helm?

I’m concerned about live action film adaptation. Like seriously, how will Woketitties make Live Action Akira into?
A Woke Comedy or a non-woke Comedy?

I am not too into Anime, but Akira is one of the movies I have watched. I watched a few more like Ghost in a Shell. Anime to me is a bit over the top, but hey, each to his or her own.
I will say this though. Akira, Ghost in a Shell, and the Matrix all hit about a 10-year cycle where that Neo-Tokyo vibe was happening. You can literally see the impact of Akira on the other two movies.
Also, I think the allure to Anime is also the women are drawn very sexy as a whole. Even though the Japanese culture is very reserved, I think their freakier sides come out in their Anime.
As for live-action remake — I think it will be a woke disaster and won’t come close to the 1988 movie. I can still remember going to rent that movie at my local blockbuster. It was fun going to blockbuster to rent movies actually. I think whatever they do to it will end horribly just like I think Matrix 4 is going to go off the rails.
