If you look at this situation mechanically, you can gain an understanding of how the establishment is already controlling people.

Look at the the scene below. It encapsulates the entire paradigm.

You have what, 25-30 people blocking a major interstate that caused a 6 mile backup.  So maybe 30 people held 100’s hostage for hours.

You might ask yourself, how is that even possible?  How do 30 agitators not get physically moved or receive a butt kicking from hundreds of people?

Look closely. There are several highway patrol cars there.  You know what they did?  Nothing.

But I bet if someone laid a hand on a protestor they would have arrested them immediately and everyone in that 6 mile snarl knew that and that is why they did not act themselves.

Conclusion?  The only way a small minority enforces it’s will on the vast majority is because the government backs that small minority.

The motorists should’ve just run them over. Patrol cars be damned.

I would not run them over but with hundreds of people they should have easily been removed and possibly gotten slapped around a bit.

No one did anything because they would have been arrested.  That’s my point though.

The ONLY reason this happens is because the government actively allows it and protects it.

I wasn’t meaning it in a horrible way. It was more along the lines of “I’ve had enough of this BS” kind of way.

My bad, I tend to be overly literal.

          But yes, agreed 100%

I appreciate that.  It’s really a character flaw of mine.  I cannot help but to examine things as they are and try to break it down to it’s components and understand it.

This is a reason I have a hard time remembering names of people I meet.  I am so busy summing them up I cannot recall their names on first meet.

And it makes me seem like an a-hole because when people speak I put every word under a microscope to derive meaning.  Maybe in a debate that’s good but in normal interactions it is not.

So in general, people will only tolerate me in small doses.

It’s an ability I have made a career off of but clearly it has it’s downsides.
