Hail all!
I’m looking for my fellow crafters here in the G+G community! With all the inspiration and motivation to create floating around the last few weeks, I wanted to see if anyone else was inspired to start new projects. I myself have picked up my yarn and hook to start crochet again, and I’ve started dabbling in heat transfer vinyl.
I want to see what everyone is working on, so feel free to post your works in progress!
i was setting up my gaming area for recording to send a video submission for the tabletop cast member. I didnt realize it was going to be starfinder….. so now im not sure what ill work on. here are some pretty pictures of an amethyst i cut lol
That is amazing! 😱 I know literally nothing about gem cutting, but I do know a little about jewelry making. Just another hobby phase I went through lol. I particularly liked chain mail. I need to post a pic of my current projects but I’ll have to wait for when I’m at home.
Thank you! That was the first stone I cut. I learned at my local gem cutters guild. Yes guilds are still a thing people should seek them out. Not only can you get a basic understanding but there are so many people there that are more than happy to share something they are passionate about with you. If you decided something that you want to learn the people there are all generally old and experts. Jewelry and gems are two completely different worlds. I went to fancy bitch (gia) jewelry school to learn CAD and jewelry repair. There was no way I was going to be able to sit through the classes learning the science of gemology. It requires memorization. I do all sorts of different crafting this is what I will be working on this week.
That’s amazing! 🥰
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I’m not working on anything big right now, but I’ve got some projects in the works. I’m mostly working on HTV projects with my cricut I just bought. I’ve been making myself some G+G swag, and mainly working on my stream blanket. I work on it while I watch TNME and FNT. Started it two weeks ago.

Stream blanket update! I’ve been slacking the last few weeks due to health stuff, but I managed to get quite a bit done last night during TNME. It was then I realized this was going to be a huuuugggeeee blanket. Oh well. What is everyone else working on?
I made this from scratch. No, it is not plastic or pre-fab junk off Amazon. Real bat, real grip tape, hand done painted on designs, etc.
That’s great!! Is it for a cosplay or just because it’s awesome? Sometimes I’ll make a thing just to see if I can lol. I did a pair of “glass slippers” based off of the live action Cinderella just because I could. They’re awesome, but I don’t think I’ll ever wear them.
I’m trying again to start (sorry, well maybe finish) my own month of artsy craftsy prompts i’ve called it “Hocktober”
if your up for it here are the next 8 prompts if interested in me finishing it here i’ll see what I can do otherwise in a couple more days i’ll try posting the prompts else where

While these prompts are with inkober in mind I believe the trick with getting over the idea you can’t draw , writing is drawing. The trick is to get those letters out between the lines, think of them more as shapes. Then you look for those familiar shapes in what it is your trying to draw, put together your art and then clean up the lines. I believe adding the details is what makes art.
I welcome your thoughts to help with this idea.
