Dick Butkus passes at 80.

I have always heard he was an interesting cat.  He was supposedly a super nice guy who was very kind. That is unless you were carrying a football and running towards him.  Then he was a demonic force of nature.

I am sure physically he was very gifted, but it’s always his tenacity and drive people talk about.

I hope the Lord has the same mercy on this man that I wish for myself.   He was truly an unique soul.
