Um, I thought Zorro was already a diverse character what with him being Spanish and in some adaptations he’s Spanish and part Native American.

Also, let’s not forget that Antonio Banderas is a SPANISH actor or are they going to pretend that the best modern version of the character doesn’t exist??? Yes I’m a huge Zorro fan and if there’s any masked hero that I like and admire it’s Zorro. He was what I wanted to be as a kid despite me being a girl *ignores Twitter screaming that she can’t idolize a male character as she’s female and he isn’t*. Oh and I thought that most of the female side characters on ANY Zorro film or TV series were STRONG FEMALE CHARACTERS????

And yet another franchise put on the chopping block of identity politics. Seriously, NOTHING new from anyone anymore. It’s all just taking everything old and remaking it with a “modern” one sided ideology that doesn’t bring in profit. It is honestly nauseating what is happening. Nearly every single day I read somewhere that someone is remaking something I once loved, but ruining it with identity politics and race/gender swap.

I get the feeling that WB and Disney are trying to out-woke each other here…

We would’ve been fine with a female Zorro in a modern setting ‘Sherlock’ style. That was until they threw in the woke nonsense! Meanwhile, I’m just going to sit here and wait for my ‘The Three Musketeers’ and Zorro crossover…

At this point, if you don’t see the blatant agenda in all of entertainment you have the IQ of used toilet paper.

So, why I am NOT surprised that it is once again someone who used to be a male now turned into a female? At this point, I wonder if in 5 years there will be ANY male leads.

I don’t do cable, in fact I haven’t had cable in 6 & 1/2 years, and I don’t miss it. I absolutely HATE commercials. You waste 20min of an hour show watching trash commercials saturated with messages and imagery. I refuse to put that shit in my brain. I do this thing called to**ent. : ) “evil laugh” All commercials are removed.

The CW has ONE redeeming show, Superman. I refuse to give any of these companies any of my money. No Disney+ either.

I’m beginning to wonder that as well about how many male leads we’re going to have left. Boys want role models as well. Even girls can have male role models. I’ve lost count on how many I’ve had lol. I said on another topic that I wonder how long it’s going to be until they gender-swap the Three Musketeers. Or how long until they do a all female version of the Pink Panther films??? Actually, I don’t even want to think about that…LEAVE THAT FRANCHICE ALONE!
