When do you think it will be released? What scope do you see part 2 covering? Are you excited for it?

I personally can not wait to play the second installment. The first blew me away and they haven’t even gotten to many of the absolute best moments of the original yet.

I think the second part will likely include much of the first continent and probably go until Junon/Costa del Sol. But I think it’ll be relatively sooner than part 1 took so I could see a holiday 2021 release, but with a shorter run time.

They need to put back the traditional turn based battle’s, the current system takes away from the thinking and strategy during big battles that made the original game challenging.

Also they shouldn’t have broken up the game into parts like they did and to have us buy what was a previously complete game into multi-parts.

I really enjoyed the new battle system to be honest. It was refreshing and fun, although it definitely could use a little work maybe add in some combos or the ability to switch in characters who aren’t active into the active party. I found the remake much much more challenging than the original honestly. The only battle I ever lost in the original was Ruby weapon and the remake got me multiple times where I didn’t pay enough attention to the health and got picked apart.

I definitely would have preferred to have gotten all the game all at once, but as good as part 1 is I’d gladly wait for the remaining parts if the scale and quality stay the same.

im hoping that now they know what they are doing that they get game 2 out faster. I could see game 2 covering everything till the theft of the Highwind. Then we would have the entire crew for the final game. It would also get to the City of the Ancients in that section of the game.

As for breaking the game into multiple parts we knew that would happen. FF7 was the largest PS1 game ever made. Hell the FF7r disk 1 is what 100 gigs? Giving us the entire game @ 350 – 400 gigs would have forced me to both wipe my existing hard drive and buy an expansion drive.

I’m super excited for the second part to come out and all… but wouldn’t it be more accurate to call it a reboot at this point… considering we literally killed fate, meaning the game no longer is forced to follow the exact same storyline as the original 7, we made an alternate timeline, and Sephiroth seemingly knows about the events of the original FF7 somehow? Either way… I’m excited… it’s a big risk to Mortal Kombat 9 (revisit and change like MK9 did to MK1, 2, and 3) Final Fantasy 7… but if they make the story as amazing as they have been so far… they’ll actually pull this off, the mad lads!
