@Legatus_Legionis Not too sure on the exact origin, but it’s largely media feminists who believe the reason male-characters have dominated media is to pander to a male audience, for the purposes of excluding women.
They constantly compare themselves to high-status men and think life is some sort of twisted competition between men and women, which is why they feel they have to antagonize men at any opportunity they get.
Tbh, a majority male cast does generally mean the primary demographic is male; you’re more likely to find content that appeals to men. But there’s nothing stopping women from enjoying it if they genuinely like it for what it is. These feminists likely watched something that was made for men in mind, disliked it, complained about it, and were simply told by others that it wasn’t made for them. But they took completely the wrong message from that and think they’re being clever by hitting back with the same retort.
Imagine if some blokes watched something that was obviously made for girls/women, then complained about there not being enough explosions or something. They’d be called out for being ridiculous.
