Get the Jab, or if you get sick=no pay

Non-vaccinated players who get COVID could end up not being paid

Players who miss games due to a COVID-19 diagnosis in 2021 will indeed get paid, no questions asked. If those players are vaccinated.

If a player isn’t vaccinated, a COVID-19 diagnosis could cause the player to lose pay for all games missed because of it.

    And the blackmailing continues.

I am now waiting to hear of lawsuits where people who did get the jab will attempt to SUE non-jabbed people if they get covid, even thought the jab does NOT mean one cannot get the covid.

    That’s messed up

Now it is heading down to the college levels, in an attempt to SHAM players into getting the jab.

If athletes won’t get vaccine, this College World Series disaster is going to keep happening

There is nothing satisfying about a baseball team’s season ending via a vague press release just after 2 a.m. on the day they were supposed to be playing Vanderbilt for a spot in the College World Series championship.

But in our still fraught world of COVID-19 and its intersection with sports, it cannot be too surprising that NC State found itself in such a horrible position Saturday, having been tested and contact traced to the point where the NCAA was forced to remove them from the tournament.

We had seen where those in close contact were quanantined while the rest were allowed to play (NHL).

This situation is particularly ominous right now, at a time when a large number of college and professional athletes are still refusing to be vaccinated, risking not just their own and other people’s health but putting teammates in position to suffer the kind of consequences that cost the Wolfpack a chance to win a national championship.

So get the jab or be shammed that you MIGHT HAVE cost your team a national championship.

Don’t want to get vaccinated? Your choice. But understand what you’re risking: A positive test that, at any time, could ensnare others and wreck historic seasons.

Is that what we are coming down to?  SHAMMING?

And it’s going to get dumber as the year goes on because, at least anecdotally, there are still a lot of football teams both at the college and NFL levels struggling to get most of their players vaccinated. In fact, according to some college administrators I’ve spoken with, there are a significant number of teams haven’t even hit 50% — which means they’re entering the season with a competitive disadvantage.

HHmmm… athletes are told and trained to ALWAYS watch what they put into their bodies.  Don’t eat this, don’t drink that, don’t take those prescriptions because they have an ingredient you cannot have, etc.

…we’re likely to see this fall as football teams with low vaccination rates see positive tests pop up, sidelining unvaccinated and perhaps some vaccinated players who did the responsible thing and still got unlucky.

    Shaming, shaming, shaming.

And yes, there are plenty of examples so far of vaccinated athletes testing positive because the science tells us that vaccinated people could indeed have a small amount of the virus in their system and not get sick from it.

    As do NON-jabbed people.

We’ve now seen the consequences when that choice is applied to a team concept. It’s not just the unvaccinated players that pay the price, but the vaccinated players, too.

You forget, even jaxed people can still get sick, as the jab is not 100% guarantee.

    This shame tactic is disgusting.

The No-Fun-League has tripled-down in this:

COVID-19 outbreaks among unvaccinated NFL players could lead to forfeited games

NFL teams have been warned they could forfeit a game due to a COVID-19 outbreak among non-vaccinated players, and players on both teams wouldn’t get paid that week.

So now not only will the non-vax’d infected players not get paid, but players on BOTH teams.

    No peer pressure there, honest!

“If a game can’t be rescheduled and is canceled due to a COVID outbreak among non-vaccinated players on one of the competing teams, the team with the outbreak will forfeit and will be deemed to have played 16 games for purposes of draft, waiver priority, etc,” Goodell says in the memo.

For purposes of playoff seeding, the forfeiting team will be credited with a loss and the other team will be credited with a win.

    That causes problems.

What if BOTH teams have outbreaks among non-vax’d players?  Is it then a tie?

What if the outbreak is from vax’d players (remember, the vax is NOT 100%-you won’t get covid)?

Does that team forfeit the game if it can’t be rescheduled?

Do players on BOTH teams not get paid then?

Or do we have to wait till it happens to find out, as this is to scare those who choose NOT to get the jab blacklisted?

Oh, and is this tripling down has to do with the players who refused to get the jab back then STILL refused to get the jab today?

As a professional athlete, who at all times must be aware of everything they put into their bodies, want to trust something that is still NOT an approved drug, one that still has only emergency tag on it?

The CFL has now joined this.

CFL establishes policy in case any 2021 games are cancelled due to COVID-19 issues

According to the policy, if a game can’t be played and rescheduled because of COVID-19 issues, the club suffering from the COVID-19 issues will forfeit a 1-0 loss. If both squads have COVID-19 issues, each will forfeit the game and assigned losses.

    What else?

In either scenario, if a team can prove at least 85 per cent of its players under contract have been vaccinated, at least once, the players will receive their salary for the cancelled game. If that figure falls below 85 per cent, players won’t be paid.

So get the jab, or it will be YOUR FAULT (even if you are not the sick ones) for players not getting paid.

The league’s policy established other guidelines for cancellation. They include:

    – The staging of the game being precluded by a decision from a government health authority.

    – A team not having 36 players to dress for the game.

    – A team not having individuals available to coach the offence and defense.

    – A team doesn’t have a certified athletic therapist and sports medicine physician available for a contest.

And Ambrosie can cancel a game at his discretion following consultation with the CFL’s chief medical officers and the players’ association.

    Sports is dropping fast.

And we now have a CANCELLED game

Edmonton Elks game postponed after players test positive for COVID-19

The Edmonton Elks game against the Toronto Argonauts that was scheduled for Thursday (Aug.26) in Toronto has been postponed by the Canadian Football League due to COVID-19 cases.

And how many people tested positive?

As of Monday, there were nine positive cases, Elks president and CEO Chris Presson said.

    As for pay?

The CFL also said the Elks are below the 85 per cent threshold at which players are allowed additional freedoms under the league’s COVID-19 protocols.

So if the game can’t be rescheduled, the Elks gets not just a LOSS, but the players/staff also loss wages.

Numbers released at the end of training camp showed 3 teams had reached 85%

It is unknown if the Toronto Argos is above the 85% threshold when this happened.

So while the team gets a W in the win column if it can’t be rescheduled, the players/staff loss in the wage column.
