      Wouldn’t be GREAT if Guinan was in the STD universe thinking “this is not how this is supposed to be, we were supposed to be a vessel of peaceful exploration this is wrong” like she did in “Yesterdays Enterprise”. Then she goes to Q and he agrees and snaps the STD/Kelvinverse into nothingness and brings the Star Trek Universe back to canon.

      It would be a great short video less than 5  minutes announcing the return of real canon Star Trek!

      Im sure both actors are available :D

        Whoopie is a rabid SJW, so I doubt she would do anything that goes against the agenda.

         

        De Lancie? He might be semi-retired at this point. I haven’t seen him in much TV lately, though I do catch his VA work in things now and again.

         

        Still, you are not wrong in thinking that a Q would be the literal finger snap solution for an easy reset button. Trek will only be saved, as Doomcock says, when it is in the hands of people who actually care about it. Course, will there be anyone left in the consumer base that cares if that happens?

          John De Lancie did a Star Trek Continues episode a few years ago. I’m sure he’d jump on the opportunity and besides Shatner De Lancie is probably the most popular Star Trek cast member left after Patrick Stewart committed popularity suicide.

          There would have to be some CGI or heavy makeup magic done on both of them though, since they’re not supposed to ever get old. Q can manipulate his appearance to mimic how others have gotten old, but what would be Guinan’s excuse for getting old?
