For those of us north of the 49 parallel, Today, July 1st is Canada Day = our day of independence.

For those of you south of the 49th parallel, July 4th is the USA’s independence day.

Two neighbours in friendship.

I wish my fellow Canucks a Happy Canada Day.

I wish my American neighbours a Happy Independence Day.

Our ancestors fought for our independence and freedoms.

Don’t forget all we have done.

The forty-ninth parallel is the line of latitude that forms the boundary between Canada and the US from Lake of the Woods to the Strait of Georgia.

The parallel also forms the first baseline for the Dominion Lands Survey System by which the territory that became the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta and some adjacent parts of British Columbia and Ontario was subdivided.

It represents the border between most of Canada and the USA.

To commemorate Canada Day for my excellent neighbors, I watched the Canada Gooses episode of Letterkenny. Next I’ll find some sweet South Park episodes for celebration, buddy.

About the 4th of July, besides the fireworks i don’t know much else about the traditions. I’m curious to know what you guys usually eat during the 4th of July? BBQ? :D

Personally, I’ll be grilling hot dogs, bratwurst, cheeseburgers, and top sirloin kabobs with stuffed jalapenos, baked beans, potato salad, and various chips served with massive amounts of Busch Light, PBR, and whiskey to keep the party lively before firing off some red white n blue boom booms. Merica :D
