Return YouTube Dislike restores the ability to see dislikes on YouTube.

Starting December 13th 2021, YouTube removed the ability to see dislikes from their API.
This extension aims to restore power to users by using a combination of archived like and dislike data, as well as the likes and dislikes made by extension users to show the most accurate ratings.

Currently has almost a billion videos data stored before December 13th, 2021

Actively growing and keeping up to date with uploads after December 13th, 2021

The more users that use the extension, the more accurate it will be

Unpopular videos uploaded after December 13th, 2021 may have less accurate data shown than more popular videos.

This extension is currently in an active development phase, so if you experience any issues, don’t hesitate to report them on our GitHub page or in our Discord server.

I honestly think that was 1 of the stupidest choices Youtube ever made.
I do understand that small channels might have felt a certain way when they got 6 LIKES & 4 DISLIKES but it is what it is. It’s very much coddling the sensitive & that pisses me off but we all know that was the least of the reasons why Youtube removed the dislikes.
Big names were the ones that pushed youtube to hide the dislike visibility. The dislikes were very much a report card of how a new movie was being received by the greater audience.
I can also promise you that a great percentage of the LIKES were not “Organic” either, they were purchased.
As great as this extension is, it’s still not the true number.
I’ve always wondered, have people also stopped LIKING videos to the degree they used to as an act of protest? I’ve never been an account to get lots of likes to begin with lol

Like are easily manipulated, but when a Dislike happens it is more than likely real… we also will never get to see the true numbers, just a representation of a percentage.

Honestly, I think they should require a CC Verification of an account to have the like and dislike function of say $10.00 a year… But also allow monetization from the first video you make that has a advertisement in it as part of that.
