Johnny Depp resigns from ‘Fantastic Beasts’ movies after being asked to by Warner Bros.

Johnny Depp is resigning from the Fantastic Beasts movie franchise after being requested to do so by Warner Bros.

Why not fire him? Oh yay, I guess then they would have had to pay him what is due in the contract.

“I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros. from my role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts and I have respected and agreed to that request,” he wrote on Friday.

“I’d like to thank everybody who has gifted me with their support and loyalty. I have been humbled and moved by your many messages of love and concern, particularly over the last few days.

“Finally, I wish to say this. The surreal judgement of the court in the U.K. will not change my fight to tell the truth and I confirm that I plan to appeal. My resolve remains strong and I intend to prove that the allegations against me are false. My life and career will not be defined by this moment in time.”

This abrupt exit from the movies comes days after he lost his libel case against U.K. tabloid The Sun over a 2018 article describing him as a “wife beater.”

WB had bent the knee, and now a victim of abuse is out of a job.

Cancel Culture cares not what their actions cause.

OH I miss the days when people where excited and wanted to talk about a new movie, who was in it, etc.

For the last decade it seems to be nothing but eliminate this actor/actress, racists this, sexist that, need more inclusion, etc.

What ever happened to story telling and making the best darn film you can?

I can’t recall if it was a u-tube or an article online that stated Disney rehired Depp for “Fantastic Beasts 3”.

Alot of the search results on goo-gle come up with sites I have never heard of, plus a few u-tube links from channels I do not know of.

I sure hope this is not a “wishful thinking” but is factual.

And then having Captain Jack Sparrow return to his franchise (Pirates of the Caribbean) would be double great news.

And then another rumour that ms.turd is being replaced by Emilia Clarke as Mera in Aquaman 2.

As Clarke and Mamoa already shared an onscreen romance (GoT), I would love to see this happen as well.
