Movie Remakes You Would Want To See?

Without being too obvious, how about Star Wars Episodes VII, VIII, IX.

    Redo the whole story arch!

Oh, I would like to had the classic Sinbad films made using modern CGI.

Sure, I enjoy looking at the stop-motion they used back in the day.

The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973)

The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958)

Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977)

    Sinbad, the Sailor (1947)

    Son of Sinbad (1955)

    I would also include:

    Jason and the Argonauts (1963)

Frozen 2. Because clearly I don’t feel satisfied with the final results and the issues with it that could’ve been handled better.

Besides that, I want to see a remake of The Land Before Time. CGI animation similar to Jungle Book and Lion King. I was thinking of it by the time the trailer had recently came out. Might be tricky to how the characters would look if you’re going more realistic with actual dinosaurs you know.

I would keep the core themes and many of the story threads and tweak on them a bit, modernize them I think. Like learn why Cera and her dad have major specism issues or have Littlefoot have dreams of finding the Great Valley, as well as the specific landmarks to use as markers in getting there. And perhaps add more development of the bond between Ducky and Spike with Spike probably not being able to talk because he lost his family at a very young age.

The musical score was a big factor to the film with memorable themes by James Horner. I believe Alan Silvestri is the best candidate for a whimsical, adventurous score. I somehow feel debated about if his versions of the themes would fit or just use completely new music with the addition of the theme for “If We Hold On Together” used throughout.

I did some hypothetical casting done and it was really fun on finding child actors for the gang. The best choices were Abby Ryder Fortson (Ant-Man) for Ducky and Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs) for Petrie. For Littlefoot, I had in mind for an African-American child actor and thought of making all of the actors voicing his family be African-American as well and thought it would really go down with the specism in Land Before Time and the racism of African Americans. I recently thought of Jacob Tremblay (Wonder, Room) for Littlefoot, but who knows. There was Lupita N’yongo for his mother in mind.

There is a LOT of shows I would like to see remade with current CGI and Tech, but they would need to remain 100% true to original script and characters as described in the book or original movie. IE Dont go woke or make a guy a girl etc.

      That said:
      Forbidden Planet
      Them
      Krull
      The Time Machine
Voyage to the bottom of the Sea
      Flash Gordon
      Jason and the Argonauts
      EXCALIBUR <——–THIS TIMES 1000
      Legend
      Labyrinth

I know there are more but those off my head especially Excalibur….. Oh and Willow.

Luckily we have a show taking place after the events of Willow.

None. I’m tired of remakes because all Hollywood ever does is make a mockery of the original movie. There’s no real talent or creativity anymore and I don’t believe that we’ve done everything. It’s just amateurs and activists destroying culture with their garbage propaganda.
