The Seattle Kraken (NHL expansion team) have just signed their first ever play, Luke Henman, the the team captain and leading scorer for Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL), was a fourth-round draft pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2018. He went unsigned by the Hurricanes in the offseason, making him a free agent.

Luke Henman is a  21-year-old center, signed a three-year, ELC with the NHL’s 32nd franchise.

It will be interesting to see how quickly the Seattle Kraken gets out of the gate and its comparison with how well the Vegas Knights did.

Do you know how well the Kraken and the WHL Seattle Thunderbirds will get along?

I know the AHL Abbottsford Heat force the relocation of the WHL Chilliwack Bruins.

The Vancouver Canucks & WHL Vancouver Giants; Calgary Flames & WHL Calgary Hitmen; Edmonton Oilers & WHL Edmonton Oiler Kings; Winnipeg Jets & WHL Winnipeg Ice all got along.
