Sadly I didn’t own a Nintendo 64, but did play it at a friend’s house she owed one. Only played Super Mario 64, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter had a great time playing that one especially getting all the weapons unlocked the dinosaurs had no chance at that point taking them down with ease, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire mostly enjoyed playing the snow level on Hoth tripping up the AT-ATs with the harpoon cable and Cruis’n USA remember my friend her telling me the cheat code on the car select screen to get the 3 hidden cars.

N64 was a great system with great titles. While I never owned one, almost everyone I knew had one so I went over their houses to play them. Enjoyed Shadow of Empire, Golden Eye, MK64, Super Mario64, Smash and so on. I also played japanese only games at my japanese friend’s house. Played many obsure japanese games on it. Custom Robo, Japanese baseball(it was either Jikkyo Powerful Pro Baseball, Pro Yak Yu King Baseball, or Choukuukan Night King of Pro Baseball. I forgot which) and sumo wrestling games (64 Ōzumō) back then.

Worst thing is that the original plan was to call it Conker Live and Uncut and have it completely uncensored, no idea who thought that censoring it even more was a good idea since it didn’t lower the age rating.

Interesting, for me it was the opposite, I was the only one with an N64 and everyone I knew had a PS1.

The system that turned me in to a lifelong gamer. Zelda: OOT, Jet Force Gemini, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Tony Hawk, 1080, and so much more.

Those THQ AKI Engine wrasslin’ games were so god damn good… WCW vs. nWo: World Tour, WCW/nWo Revenge, WWF Wrestlemania 2000, WWF No Mercy, and their Japanese counterparts Virtual Pro Wrestling 1&2. World Tour was such an unexpected hit for those that didn’t follow the gaming mags back in the day, it…like many other early releases on the console were super hard to find initially and were sold out until well after the holidays in my neck of the woods. My buddy offered me $100 for my copy and I was like “NOPE.”

I’m really hoping that Nintendo bring more N64 games to Switch, so many great games.
