Ivan Reitman, acclaimed Canadian producer and director of Ghostbusters, dead at 75

Ivan Reitman, the influential filmmaker and producer behind beloved comedies from Animal House to Ghostbusters, has died. He was 75.

Reitman passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday night at his home in Montecito, Calif., his family told The Associated Press.

OH man. I have no idea if he was a good guy or not but I do know he gave me many memories. May he RIP and may the Lord have mercy on his soul.

Only just watched ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ on Saturday that his son Jason had directed🙁. A pity that they never mentioned Ivan producing (I think it was) the original ‘Space Jam’ film though.

Sad to hear, but i’m at least happy he lived to get to see Ghostbusteers Afterlife, i’m sure he’s proud of his son. R.I.P. 👻

So far it still says he died naturally in his sleep at the age of 75.

No idea when an autopsy report when be made public and if it will say otherwise.
