    Finally it’s airing again!!!!!

These last few months of anime have been really bad, due to the covid. Plus the most recent season of anime has been very lackluster.

Anyone else waiting for a certain anime to come back, or a new series to start?

Never watched the show and probably won’t, I’m not the biggest fan of the art style. I’m excited to see the 2nd season of that time I got reincarnated as a slime.

Woah!!! I didn’t know Slime got a 2nd season. I loved that one, was funny as hell, and has a decent story and good characters.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I at first put off One Piece because of the art style and I just didn’t get it. But then I met my future wife, had me watch an episode and……the rest was history.

Then I decided to watch the whole thing from episode 1 (which took me almost two months) and I never looked back since. The art style may not be for everyone, but you’ll like the characters, the arcs, and the fighting.

Oh by the way, Mayumi Tanaka who voices Krillin in the Dragonball series, is the voice of Monkey D Luffy.

Bro I cannot believe this fucking show has OVER 900 episodes. I’ve never watched it, and now I don’t know if I want to deal with downloading over a terabyte of god damn anime mate like, lordy

I agree with this. The art style really turned me off to this for quite a while as well. The length also seemed insurmountable.

They just put the first 150 or so episodes on Netflix and I’ve been watching through and enjoying it. The characters are pretty well written, they all have interesting characteristics and flaws, and abilities. I’m still not a huge fan of the fighting at this point, but I’m sure as the years go on and the animation gets better, it may pick up and be a little more to my liking.

I was confused by your Krillin comment relating to Luffy. Then I realized I’m watching the dub. The guy that voices Krillin in the DBZ dub voices Ussop in the One Piece Dub.

I will admit there are some slow points, but it has some of the best characters, and backstories for each one. I don’t even mind when they stop the main story mid big event, to go back and tell one of the characters backstories of how they got there.

I’ve been watching One Piece since i was like 3 years old, wich is probably way younger then i should’ve been :D Not my favorite anime of all time, but i do get some nostalgia for it every now and then, also really like the art style

One Piece is pretty awesome, but I admit it sometimes gets tiring being a long-term fan. Take a break from it every so often then catch up at my own pace.

I actually got my youngest sister into the series a few years ago; we spent over five-hundred days watching an episode every day, up until we got half-way through the saga (end of Marineford arc). She loved it – The series is a roller-coaster of emotions, with fun characters and completely wacky, oddball moments. It’s like anime but with an added spice of Looney Tunes (and she grew to love Chopper, which I predicted).

I admit, I haven’t watched the anime itself much beyond Marineford. It got too slow-paced for me – Been sticking with the manga for now. Finished the Whole Cake arc a while back. I hear the Wano arc is close to finishing, so I should start reading it again at some point.

The series just started back up, due to the covid scare, and it’s really getting good. I love all the emotion in the series too.

Me and my younger brother have been watching the series forever.

Has the show reached over 1000 episodes yet?

i tried to watch one piece, its been on my list of anime to check out for a while and i thought quarantine would be a good time. i watched like the first 6 or 7 episodes and they made the show seem uninteresting, and the the fight with luffy vs the clown guy was boring for an anime fight, does the show get better? do the fights get more intense and exciting. or does this first arch pretty much sum up the tone for the entire series? and if it does get good, then when? like what arch did it get good?

I’d say keep watching until the end of the East Blue saga (season one). The Arlong Park arc is really good and it’s what made me a fan. If the series still doesn’t do anything for you at that point, then it’s probably not for you.

The over-arcing story of One Piece does develop overtime and in some ways actually gets quite political (in a good way: It’s basically freedom vs tyranny) but you’d be in for the long haul. I can’t really ask someone to watch hundreds of episodes just for a pay-off that may or may not live up to their expectations.

yeah, i know im only a few episodes in but like every other anime i watch that i can remember had me hooked in the first 1 or 2 episodes, but i guess one piece could just be slow paced. ill keep watching for another saga or 2
