Well I never thought he was a musical genius but his singing style, themes and tones have always been cool.
What’s interesting about his themes and style is he was part of the Satanic Panic in the 90’s as I recall. I never listened to heavy metal or hard rock then but I do now. Ironically, almost none of it was satanic as I see it. Sure, they questioned some things but even then they did that respectfully with song. And there is nothing wrong with questioning and thinking about such things and I say that as a fairly religious person.
