There’s part in 148 of Pop Culture where Seamus from Freedomtoons just earned a debate with Geeks and Gamers, Ryan Kinel, and Youngrippa for believing video games aren’t important. Probably where they reach a segment of them talking ThatUmbrellaGuy. During that segment, they talk about some gamergate.

Here’s the segment where he actually earned a debate with Youngrippa

Rippa should really have no problem with that debate. Video game industry is bigger than the movie industry. You know that simple games were some of the first programs worked on by Paul Allen at Microsoft. Things like Chess, checkers, poker and other games. Video games really are on the cutting edge of technology. Virtual reality and holodecks are coming soon. Motion capture in the private sector is used to help athletes refine their mechanics in tennis, baseball and other sports. Also, apart from Gamergate, there was the whole Game Stop stonk short squeeze, where fans of the company took on Wall Street and won, making Charlie Munger cry. Was a great period in time.

After the sequel to Top Gun came out, someone posted the first video game of it from Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987. Look how far video games have gone in just 30 to 40 years! My question to you is, when did Video games drive Hollywood instead of vice versa? Was it the Xbox or Playstation? What year or what device?
