Creating custom characters in video games is always kinda fun to me, I see it as a form of artistic expression. Nowadays customization options have become really extensive, allowing anyone to create a character that can be truly unique. I thought I’d start a thread for anyone who would like to share any characters they’ve created for any game and are rather proud of.

For now, here are some of my Skyrim characters that I’ve spent a sufficient amount of time on:

    Kristoff the Harbinger

My first, primary character on Skyrim during the 360 days, and my own personal idea of a ‘canon’ Dragonborn (if you disagree, that’s fine. Not going to argue over it). Finished the Main Quest, the Companions, Stormcloaks, Dawnguard and Dragonborn questlines. He’s a pretty typical “Nord Warrior” stereotype; reveres Talos, always down for a fight and while perhaps a bit more open-minded than most Nords, he still puts his own people first.

    Raynil, Shadow-Knight

Tbh, I think I spent more time on this character than with my ‘main,’ as he’s the only character I’ve gotten to level 80 with. Created when I first got SE on X1. Inspired by my love of Morrowind, he’s very much a “Chaotic Neutral” type – Done fucking everything in order to level him up sufficiently, with up to 300 hours clocked in as total playtime. Follows the teachings of Azura, Boethiah and Mephala, so he can be pretty darn ruthless when required.

    Sinard, Knight-Paladin

Kinda an Imperial counterpart to my Nord character: Follows the teachings of the Divines (but primarily follows Akatosh), so he’s very much a “Lawful Good” type and is rather cosmopolitan (it can actually rather be notoriously difficult to stay on the path of the straight-and-narrow in Skyrim, but that’s more to do with how you get rail-roaded into certain quests in vanilla).

…And yes, those are Creation Club mods. I know, cardinal sin. Curiosity got the better of me (not gonna buy them again on PC: Some armour stats are pretty neat for higher-level characters but there’s much a greater variety of free mods and they do it better).

    Duncan, Vampire Lord

My Breton Conjurer. Started off as a bit of a “grey knight” than was corrupted by events in the Reach. Joined the Volkihar vampires and became Molag Bal’s champion. Here’s what he looked like before becoming a vampire.

    J’zaka, Thieves Guild Master

Only did the Thieves Guild questline plus all side quests and dungeons in the Rift with this character. Managed to get all the way up to level 45 in vanilla. I also grinded 125 side jobs for Vex and Delvin. Never again.

    Ciranye, Altmer Mage Adept

Current Skyrim character. Doing a modded playthrough on Oldrim and adding anything in relation to Aldmeri lore, including “Wintersun” (adds Elven Ancestor” shrines) and “Falmeroon” (adds Ancient Ancient Falmer ruins to Skyrim’s overworld and additional lore books).
