It seems like this movie is pretty underrated. I seen it in theatres when it came out and loved it. I’m watching it again right now. I watch it every couple of months. I’m a huge fan of Jake Gyllenhaal and he’s great in it. Apparently some people were mad that a white actor played the role… Gemma Arterton is also in it. I’ve always had a huge crush on her. She a great actress and she’s gorgeous. Some people didn’t like the love story but I liked it. I love the ending.

I agree it was a good movie.
When people try to recall any movies based on a video game that actually didn’t suck, this one is often overlooked.
The game drove me nuts though; I never finished it.

I only played some of The Forgotten Sands game. It’s a great platformer since you can reverse time. I need to finish it but I have so many games.

It’s one of my favorite movies and it holds up pretty well. I dunno, Jake looked like a prince from the games in this movie (although its not the same prince), so I didnt see the problem and I dont remember that in the movie they said who are his actual parents. The only thing that was a bit disappointing that the time travel thing was used like 3 times… But still, fun movie.

Ya thats so true but the scenes that have it are really cool. They could of added another scene or two for sure. But the dagger ran out of sand. The scene with his brother was the best. Great acting by both guys.

Ancient Persians were White(Caucasoid) . I think there is people that confuse on purpose or by ignorance or agenda  White for Northwestern European or “Nordic race” type stuff .

So the phenotypes of the actors was generally fine from what I remember in this particular film, but them using English accents was really stupid. But not something that would ruin a movie, namely a fantasy film. But, its like almost everytime Hollyweird does an ancient world picture they cast English/British/or Irish actors or even have American actors put on some posh or cockney accent, often bad ones.  Lately Hollywood and the BBC start casting non-Whites to play Romans and Greeks & Arthurian Legend heroes , where their agenda is more clear and media rarely questions them if had they cast a White actor to play an Arabian or Persian or something.
